When will the MLB lockout come to an end? That’s the question everyone has on their minds, as teams should be over in Spring Training right now, but that’s simply not the case. Because of this, you better believe that the MLB lockout is having an impact on Las Vegas betting odds. What in the world is going to end up happening here with everyone waiting?
As things stand, truly no one knows what will happen with the MLB lockout moving forward. Commissioner Rob Manfred and his office continue to meet with the MLBPA, but things truly are at a standstill. Again, the players should be in Spring Training right now getting ready for the new season. Instead, people are having to workout on their own as they await a call from officials.
Because of this, there’s no set date for when the MLB regular season will get underway. With things being delayed, we may not be able to see things get underway until June or July. This is obviously a massive bummer for MLB fans everywhere. Imagine a full spring where there’s no baseball games? It would really ruin things for everyone involved here.

It goes without saying, but everyone is waiting to see what ends up happening with Correa as soon as he’s able to put the pen to paper.
Correa is without question one of the best shortstops in the game. The hope for the Astros was that they’d be able to get an extension done with him a long time ago, but the two sides failed to do so. Because of that now the Yankees and Chicago Cubs have emerged as favorites to potentially land him. If the Yankees sign Correa, their World Series Odds will 100 percent go up.
Correa is that kind of an impact player. Elsewhere, Freeman is another big name to keep an eye on. He’s been with the Braves for a while, helping the team win the World Series this past season. While with Atlanta, Freeman has been to multiple All-Star Games and won MVP in 2020. Similar to Correa, he wasn’t able to get an extension done with the Braves. Now, his future is up in the air, with the Yankees in the mix here too.
As soon as both of those guys sign, plus Rizzo, we’re going to see the MLB odds change in a massive way. However, that can’t happen until the MLB lockout comes to an end. Until then, there’s just going to be more and more speculation surrounding these studs. Fans are getting impatient, as they want to see which teams will end up winning these respective sweepstakes.

As things stand, LA indeed are the favorites to win it all, but there’s going to be several teams ready to try and make sure that doesn’t happen. Exciting times are coming for the Braves, as Ronald Acuña Jr. will be back from his torn ACL he suffered last season.
Plus, if the team is able to somehow bring back Freeman in free agency, then they’re really going to have a ton of confidence leading up to the new season. With that said, the Dodgers are stacked with talent, with Clayton Kershaw leading the way for the rotation, while Justin Turner, Mookie Betts, Cody Bellinger and others are set to dazzle in the field and at the dish.
The 2022 MLB season should be one to remember, we just have to wait and see when things will be able to officially get started. The longer we wait, the more stressed out people are going to be over this. The hope is that once May rolls around, we can see players back in uniform and sending homers to the moon like usual.
