In a wild turn of events, both the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated last weekend. Things indeed have changed and Kansas City holds the top odds to win the 2022 Super Bowl. In case you missed it, the Chiefs moved on to the AFC Championship Game after a thrilling win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. Buffalo scored to take the lead with 13 seconds left in the game, and everyone thought the game was over. Instead, the Chiefs were able to force overtime.
In that overtime session, Patrick Mahomes led the team down the field on the opening possession of overtime in dominant fashion. The Chiefs then walked off the field thanks to Travis Kelce’s game-winner. With Buffalo now eliminated, the Chiefs are not only the major favorites to win the AFC title game, but the expectation is they’ll win the Super Bowl too. You know Andy Reid is fired up right now.
“When it’s grim, be the grim reaper. Go get it,” Reid told Mahomes on Sunday with the game on the line going up against the Buffalo Bills. “He made everybody around him better, which he’s great at. He just does it effortlessly. When it gets tough he’s going to be there battling. The players appreciate that.”

No one saw that result coming, as the Packers were heavy, heavy favorites. In that loss, though, the offense looked rough.
The Packers scored on their opening drive, but then after that Aaron Rodgers and Co. could find the end zone again in the loss. This was a massive disappointment, as the expectation was that Rodgers, Davante Adams and Allen Lazard would put on a show. While Adams had a strong game, the fact that the Packers only scored three more points after the opening drive was a letdown.
On top of that, the special teams for the Packers once again let them down, and fans are calling for the team’s special teams coordinator to be fired as soon as possible. The blocked punt returned for a touchdown opened the door for the 49ers to tie things up late in the fourth quarter, and then win it as time expired thanks to a Robbie Gould field goal. Now for the Packers, their season is over and fans lost a whole lot of money on that result.
In another trend for the Sin City sportsbooks over the past few days, more and more Vegas bets are coming in on Tom Brady potentially retiring. We’ve seen a climb in these bets because the Bucs, similar to the Packers, also dropped the ball and suffered an upset loss to the LA Rams over the weekend.
