The night’s opening match is from the Eastern Conference, with Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers clashing in Florida.
Match – Tampa Bay Lightning v Philadelphia Flyers
Where – Amalie Arena, Tampa Bay, Florida, USA
When – Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021
Time – 7pm ET
The Lightning sits third in the Atlantic Division and could do with a win to keep pace with the Panthers and Maple Leafs at the top of the table.
In their last outing, Tampa beat Minnesota Wild 5-4 on Saturday. They have an overall record of 10-4-3 and has a 7-1-2 record in their last 10 matches.
The Philadelphia Flyers is a team heading in the opposite direction.
Currently, 4th in the Metropolitan Division, the Flyers’ last 10 match form reads 4-4-2.
The Flyers are also on a losing streak of two. Last time out they lost 5-2 to Boston Bruins on Saturday. Before that, they lost 4-3 to tonight’s opponents.
Both those matches were at home!
These teams look like they’re both heading in opposite directions and I expect that run to continue.
I’m taking the Lightning to win on the Moneyline, where they are -160 with BetOnline.

Next, it’s over to the Western Conference, and the Dallas Stars play host to the Edmonton Oilers, with the Stars looking for back-to-back wins.
Match – Dallas Stars v Edmonton Oilers
Where – American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas, USA
When – Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021
Time – 8.30pm ET
The Stars sit sixth in the Central Division, with 16 points from 16 matches.
They have played fewer fixtures than anybody else though and will be looking to improve on their 7-7-2 overall record tonight.
As for the Edmonton Oilers, they are second in the Pacific Division and have two matches in hand on leaders Calgary Flames.
The Oilers have an overall record of 13-4-0 this season. They are on a winning streak of two and have a 7-3-0 record across their last ten games.
Prior to the successive wins over the Blackhawks (5-2) on Saturday and the Jets last Thursday (2-1 S/O), the Oilers had been a bit up and down for a handful of matches.
A match against an inconsistent Dallas team does represent a great chance for the Oilers to win three on the bounce and get a winning run going again.
I can see the Oilers doing just this, and I’m backing them to win at -105 on the Moneyline with MyBookie.

In the final match-up of Tuesday night, Calgary Flames hosts the struggling Chicago Blackhawks.
Match – Calgary Flames v Chicago Blackhawks
Where – Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
When – Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021
Time – 9pm ET
The Flames are top of the Pacific Division and on a winning streak of three, but they have stuttered a touch over the last ten matches.
The recent three wins have come on the road.
On Sunday they beat the Bruins 4-0, Saturday they defeated the Islanders 5-2, and on Thursday they dismantled the Sabres, winning 5-0 at the First Niagara Center.
Their last ten match record reads 5-2-3 though, showing there has been a sticky patch in form of late. Overall this season, Calgary is 11-3-5.
As for the Chicago Blackhawks, they are having a season to forget. They sit second bottom of the Central Division, with only Arizona Coyotes – arguably the worst side in the NHL – below them.
The Blackhawks’ overall form reads 6-10-2, but their last ten match record is a much improved 6-4-0 record.
In their last match-up, the Blackhawks beat the Canucks 1-0 in Vancouver on Sunday. It has to be said it wasn’t the most entertaining match.
Prior to that, they lost 5-2 away to the Oilers on Saturday. In fairness, no one really gave them much chance of getting anything from their trip to Edmonton!
They’ve also had victories over the Kraken and Coyotes in recent fixtures.
The overall picture of the Blackhawks is that of a side that can beat the lesser teams but is a side that falls well short when they play a decent outfit.
I think the Flames are in the latter of those two descriptions, and I believe they will be two scores better than the Blackhawks tonight.
